Artist of The Week: Ema Wakeford EXCLUSIVE!

"Her music makes me wanna get a box of crayons out and draw yellow happy suns and blue clouds on my minimalistic white walls." - ELECTROQUEER

We discovered Ms Wakeford through electro pop Blog extraordinaire EQ and then randomly caught a feature on her with Steve Lamcq on BBC Radio 6.

Her Music is effortless and infectious. The Track that initially stands out over at her myspace is the
Kish Mauve produced track 'In My City', an electro-indie stomper that makes me want to hit the town on a night that ends with tears of "I'm supposed to be T Total!" Damn that Wakeford.

Ema is working with some amazing people on cuts for her debut and realises the importance of taking your time and finding the right sound.

Thus far she has worked with the likes of with Kish Mauve, Crispin Hunt of the Longpins, Liam Howe of Sneakerpimps and now has a planned session with White Lies. This album is sure to be immense!

The most recent of these songs is Don't.Drop.Bomb, produced by Liam Howe from the Sneaker Pimps. This song is not available anywhere so this is an EXCLUSIVE!

Don't.Drop.Bomb has a bit of a New Young Pony Club vibe to it, but with richer and more emotive vocals. It has a real nice vibe to it, and we can definitely see this as being a summer fave!

Not Content with her solo career, Ema is also currently working with a very established and successful LA band which we are very excited about. But it's a bloody secret and I am biting my lip so hard that it's bleeding. We look forward to telling you all about... when the time is right.
