It's been a year- ish since i bumped into a certain Mr Burns in Topshop on Oxford Street and we decided to make musical babies together.
We did. We spawned two illegitimate bastards. 'The Art and 'Never Marry an Icon'
It was a marvelous, interesting, wondrous, exhausting, stressful and unforgettable son of a bitch of an experience.
Pete Burns is a great Artist. Steve Coy is a great manager. We had some good times. We had some bad times; (Kyle and I having to take Valium to get through one of the recording sessions...and then down some whisky back at the hotel to get over the day we'd had! Steve snoring like a wilder beast on the studio floor...what a noise!)
We pissed off some engineers and we injected some old school rock and roll into the recording studio that we worked in together in London.
We are very proud of the tracks we worked on together, but to be brutally honest, I really am not a fan of 'The Art'. It was originally supposed to be a song we were going to use for our album and we jumped at the chance to have Pete as a featured artist on it, but we are not quite sure what Pete and Steve are doing with it now. Last thing we heard was that Steve was making some changes. I'd quite like to hear these changes...
I really can't wait for the day that Pete and Steve decide to release 'Never Marry an Icon', which is a song we wrote for Pete and only features him on vocals. It's a much better song and i think Pete's fans will really dig it.
